Graphing

Completing our Surveys!

Ms Elder has been working with us on Graphing these last three weeks. First, we reviewed pictographs and learned how we can change the scale to best fit the data (ex: We can use 1 flower to represent 10 people who were surveyed to like daisies). We also practiced reading graphs and interpreting them (ex: From this graph, I can tell that 15 people chose pineapple as their favourite fruit).

Now, we're making our own bar graphs! Today, we got to choose whether we wanted to work alone or with a partner. We also chose our survey question. Then, we filled in our tally chart to collect the data by going around the room and asking each other our survey question.

Ms Elder gave us the criteria for what our graphs will be marked on so we need to check it as we go so we can get a 9/9!
