Signature Needed: Waste in Our World Assessment

Hi Parents,

This is a friendly note to let you know that the Waste in Our World Assessments have been sent home today. 

As a class, we went through the questions and talked about possible correct answers. Your child was given the chance to correct their quiz in another colour so that you can see their original answer and the correct answer, and to understand their mistakes. 

The Assessment has two marks on it, which relate to the two Science stems on the Report Card: Demonstrates an Understanding of Scientific Concepts, and Develops Skills and Processes for Inquiry, Communication, and Problem-Solving. I talked to the students about how those marks were generated, based on their answers, and what a "Level Four" mark would look like. 

Please spend some time looking through the assessment with your child. Then, please sign the first page of the quiz and return it to school with your child so that I know you have seen it.
