Music Update

Hi Parents,

Here is a Music update from Ms Mandin:

The grade 4 students were put to the test this November as we practiced our rhythm skills and ear training! Students learned how to listen to a rhythm and choose which rhythm was played when given a set of choices. This was no easy task but the grade 4 students rose to the challenge with enthusiasm! After becoming familiar with recognizing rhythmic patterns both written and heard, we started to learn about major and minor scales/chords. Students are now expanding their instrumental skills by improvising melodies on the xylophones!
