Light and Shadows Exploration
The past few weeks, we have been exploring light and shadows through hands-on experiments and land-based learning.
We have tested different materials to see what makes a good reflector (metal, shiny objects), and which materials are opaque, transparent, or translucent (whether we can see through them).
We also made shadows using our bodies (like shadow puppets on the wall), and explored how shadows change as the light source moves (a shadow is opposite the light source).
We rotated through centres to learn about time zones, colour and light, and refraction (like the pencil bending in water or light going through a prism or lens).
