Students, this is a reminder that you have a Science Assessment for Light and Shadows coming up.

Test date: Thursday, December 7

Here is what you are expected to know for the test, in case you'd like to review at home. You can use the resources on Google Classroom and re-read our class blog posts for help.

• Identify sources of light (natural and man-made)

• Name and provide examples of materials that are transparent, translucent, opaque

• Draw shadows based on location of light source

• Describe how shadows change based on the light source

• Explain what reflection is and which objects are good reflectors

• Explain what refraction is and which objects can refract light

• Have a basic understanding of optical devices 

• Identify the primary colours of light
